I hope everyone had a lovely Easter! We did... baby girl loved playing outside all day! She was wore out when we got home! Here's a few pics from our day :

Gemma Claire is already five months old! She rolls over, has her two bottom teeth, and is learning to sit up by herself quite well! She is growing up too fast. I'm so blessed to be her mommy. Isn't her headband (above) darling? My friend April got it for her, with some adorable matching shoes, from http://beautifulbelle.etsy.com! Of course I couldn't wait to put it on and get some photos! :)

We've got a building for the studio - it sits next to our house. It's still a work in progress, the inside is bare so we have to insulate it, put in the walls, floors etc. I am SUPER excited, no more working out of the house! It will give me more room....and has lots of storage space for props! Pretty soon I will be scheduling all studio appointments in advance for the new building. I will post pics of the new place soon!! Can't wait to get it finished :)

Introducing Gemma Claire Kean!

Hello all! I figured this post is much over-due! My baby girl, Gemma Claire, arrived October 21, 2009 at 6:01pm. She weighed 6lbs, 7 oz, and was 19 inches long. And of course, we were in love with her the moment we saw her! I am having so much fun being a mommy. I can't believe she is already three weeks old! I think I am starting to get the hang of this mommy stuff!

Just a little note also to say that I won't be taking any appointments for the month of October, and possibly the first part of November. I was planning on working until I had the baby but due to preeclampsia, my doctor has put me on bed rest until I have her. Which I am really hoping will be within the next two weeks :) Her due date is October 31. I will keep everyone updated as I will have to reschedule several appointments.

Colton - 16 Month Old Portraits :)

Colton's session was kind of a mini session - we only spent about twenty minutes on his portraits. When doing baby portraits, I've learned that the babies are the boss of the show: when they're done, they're done, and that's it! He is such a handsome little guy, though, and we are going to schedule another outdoor session soon including his mommy and daddy - I look forward to it!! I do think we got some adorable photos of him from Tuesday morning, though! the slideshow is up on my website until 8/8 - and here are a few of my favorites! :)

It was a busy week! I can't wait to share all of the photos I've been working on from this week's sessions. Be looking this week for several updates! I'll start with my first appointment of the week: a senior session with Charity! We went to several locations in Shawnee for the outdoor portion of the shoot - then got the rest in the studio. My little sister recently celebrated her ninth birthday! The weekend before her birthday she, my mom, and I went on a walk in the fields surrounding their home~ and since it was so late in the evening I thought the lighting would be perfect for some photos of her!
